Booking Your Appointment
Your appointment begins with meeting your stylist, who will help you choose your gown. You describe what you are looking for, what you like and what you do not like. Your stylist then pulls options for you and helps you try them on. Appointments last about 90 minutes.
Yes. Appointments are free and private, with your own stylist for about 90 minutes.
Book online with our bridal appointment form or call 714-546-5700. To change or cancel, please call the same number.
On Saturdays, each bride may bring up to 3 guests. On other days, 4 to 5 guests are welcome. Children 5 and under must stay in a stroller or car seat, or be held, for the whole appointment.
Yes. Our After Hours Friends and Family appointment gives you the whole salon with one of our senior stylists. Call 714-546-5700 to ask about cost and availability.
Yes. Create a free account and tap “Add to wishlist” on any gown. When you book while logged in, your wishlist is sent to your stylist with your request.
We do not allow outside food or drinks in the salon. We do serve a small champagne toast when a bride buys her gown.
Gowns, Sizes and Prices
Our gowns range from about $1,700 to $20,000, and most brides spend $2,000 to $4,000. We also offer select stock gowns at promotional pricing. See our designers with prices or affordable wedding dresses under $2,000.

No. Many online sellers offering much lower prices are not authorized and may sell copies. Buying from an established bridal salon means you get the real gown, honest fitting advice and alterations under one roof.
Yes. We carry veils, headpieces and belts from designers such as Bel Aire, Blossom Veils, Elle Gerretson and Maria Elena, and you can try them on with your gown. See bridal accessories.
A trunk show is a special event, usually on a weekend, featuring a designer’s latest collection. Sometimes the designer or a representative is here to work with brides. See upcoming events.
A sample sale is a limited-time event where gowns can be bought directly off the floor at promotional pricing. Some samples are also available to buy year-round.
Buying, Timing and Payment
The bridal industry standard is 8 to 10 months before your wedding. Designers usually take four to six months to make a gown, and alterations take about two months more. On a shorter timeline, ask your stylist about samples you can buy off the floor.
Yes. Interest-free payment plans are available, as is our military discount. Ask your stylist for details at your appointment.
No. Due to the nature of special order purchases, refunds are not possible. See our purchase and alterations policies.

Alterations
No. Alterations are priced separately from your gown, and alterations average about $900 to $1,150. If you buy your gown at Mon Amie, you get an alterations estimate at purchase. Our gowns are made to order, not made to measure, so nearly every bride needs some alterations.
Book your first fitting about 8 weeks before you want your gown ready, usually about 10 weeks before the wedding; 6 to 8 weeks before the wedding is the latest. Most brides need two fittings of about an hour each, 4 to 5 weeks apart. Rush service is available for an extra fee. See wedding dress alterations.
Yes. Our in-house alterations team works on wedding gowns whether you found yours at Mon Amie or somewhere else. Call 714-546-5700 to book a quote appointment: bring your gown and we will confirm the work and give you a price. We cannot take gowns already altered by another seamstress.
Yes, with a signed Merchandise Release form. Fill one out at one of your fittings, or call us and we will email it to you.
For gowns bought at Mon Amie, the gown balance must be paid before alterations can be scheduled. Alterations are paid in two parts: 50 to 60% at your first fitting and the rest at your second.
Yes. We also alter bridesmaid, mother of the bride and other formal dresses. Allow 3 to 4 weeks.
