      Mon Amie carries gowns from 41 designers, from Justin Alexander, Watters and Moonlight to couture labels like Netta BenShabu and Berta, and every gown on our website is here to try on in our Costa Mesa salon, in sample sizes 6 to 28. Most of our gowns are priced $2,000 to $4,000. The bridal industry standard is to order your gown 8 to 10 months before your wedding.

      How to Choose a Designer

      Start with your budget

      Decide on a ceiling for the gown before you fall for a label, and leave room for alterations. The groups above show where each designer's gowns usually sit, so you can focus on the ones that fit.

      Then the shape

      Designers have strengths. In our salon right now, Justin Alexander, Watters and Demetrios carry the most ball gowns, Moonlight, Pronovias and Berta lead on mermaid shapes and Justin Alexander, Moonlight and Lillian West on A-lines. If you already know your silhouette, start there, or browse by ball gown, mermaid or A-line.

      Fabric and detail

      Some labels are known for structure, like crisp mikado and satin; others for lace, beading or soft tulle. Bring photos of the details you love and your stylist will match them to designers.

      Try On Designer Gowns in Costa Mesa

      Your appointment is free, private and about 90 minutes, with your own stylist, who can pull gowns from any of our designers. The bridal industry standard is to order your gown 8 to 10 months before your wedding. Our in-house team handles alterations; plan on about two months.
